Sweet and Sour Octagons

Hello again everyone.

Well after finally sorting out my pics (thanks to Carolyn from Avid Inkers) I can now share my creations!  This creation is my way of saying farewell (just for the time being, of course) to my other hobbie, quilting…I think that this is a lovely tribute to the pastime that I have enjoyed for the past couple of years.  I found this design, by Melleny Ams, in a magazine and love it.  It is quite complicated with a fair bit of scapel work but well worth the effort for that special quilter.

Items used:
Paper:
sweet and sour designer series paper, whisper white card
Stamps: teeny tiny sentiments, ‘thank you’ and seasons of joy ‘ swirl’
Inks: black, pumpkin pie, rose royal and daffodil delight
Embellishments: white satin ribbon, hot pink rhinestones (not Stampin’ Up!), paper daisies (dyed using rose royal and daffodil delight Stampin’ Inks)
Bits and Bobs: scapel, glue dots, snail, bone folder

Strawberry Cupcakes

Well, here it is…one of my first creations.  I decided to make a birthday card for my gorgeous niece Ebony.  She will love the pink, and of course cupcakes are every little girl’s best friend (make that every girl’s best friend).  It’s simple to make and easy to adapt to any colour scheme.  Enjoy!

Welcome

Welcome Friends!

After a hiatus from stamping and making cards – I’m back with a new outlook and loads of inspiration thanks to a fantastic Stampin’ Up! workshop I recently attended. I was so impressed I joined as a Demonstrator so I can share my love of craft with others.

So…what’s the best way to celebrate? Create my first ever blog! I must admit I have been out of the loop with this blog thing and boy have I learnt a lot over the last week or so. I’m astounded by the amount of information out there!!

I was hoping to be able to add my first Stampin’ Up! project but, alas, no batteries in the camera (I think my teenage son ate them) I hope to have something up soon – be sure to check regularly for examples of my work as well as information about workshops and projects that you can enjoy.

In the meantime – check out my Stampin’ Up! website to get your creative juices flowing.

See you again soon – Tania XX
