Using Designer Fabric in your Projects

Well, I had an exciting day yesterday.  Not only did I attend my first Stampin’ Up! demonstrator event, but I was asked by Stampin Up! to present a workshop WOW on the day.  I was sooo nervous but the women were all so supportive, I felt right at home.  My presentation covered simple and effective ways to use Designer Fabric in workshops.  These are some of my finished creations I shared with the group using ‘Flirtatious’ and I’ll add some Christmas versions using ‘Deck the Halls’ over the next few days.

I absolutely love this fabric.  It is reasonably priced and high quality, making it very easy to work with and, as always, co-ordinates with all of the other Stampin’ Up! products, making it so easy to include in your projects.

I learnt so many new techniques yesterday, I can’t wait to share some with you. Keep an eye out for more new projects over the coming days/weeks.

Remember, if you are interested in learning how to make these projects or you would like to order the Designer Fabric or any of the items showcased on my blog, email me at for delivery to anywhere in Australia.

See you again soon.

Less is More 36

I’m loving the Less is More challenges and thought I’d play again this week. The theme is one layer + heart.  So I disappeared into my craft room thinking…one layer…how can I possibly stop at one layer? Now I have CASED a one layer card before (see anniversary card below) but I haven’t designed my own so I pulled out my glitter, buttons, ribbons and all sorts of embellishments to schmancy things up the way I usually do.  But…once I finished stamping, it didn’t need anything more.  Let me know what you think in the comments section.

Oh…and I found another challenge blog to enter this card in CES – seeing red  Two for one – I like it!

It just goes to show that you don’t need many supplies to get stamping.  The beauty of this challenge…you only have to cut one piece of card – now that is a plus!  After spending most of today cutting up card (five layers) to make 30 swaps for regionals this was definitely a relief.

Card recipe
Stamp set:
I {heart } Hearts and Easy events
Card: Whisper White
Ink:  Real Red and Basic Black

And…I have to share the card I made for my hubby last week.  It was our 21st wedding anniversary and I CASED this card from the very talented Deanna Hayes. Deanna stopped by my blog and commented on my last LIM challenge so I visited her blog – her creations are gorgeous.  Not only are challenges great fun, you meet friendly talented people and find inspiration along the way.  Don’t forget to have a go yourself over at Less is More.

Oh…btw…don’t you just love the new Aviary Stamp Set?  I think it’s gorgeous and I can’t wait to ink this one up again.

See you next time.  Tania XX

Birthday Wishes

Today is my son’s 16th Birthday which makes me both happy and sad.  Sad because my baby is so grown up and happy because this is the first of many wonderful milestones that he will experience.  I can’t believe that he is 16 already – time just passes by so quickly.  Of course…I made a card for him and as I was deciding what to make I realised that I don’t have many masculine stamp sets!  Another thing to add to my wish list. At least I have plenty of paper and ink colours and was able to use some water colouring to adapt a stamp set to suit. I wasn’t sure about the colour card as it’s not a colour I would normally go for but when I put the colours together they just worked.  I was hoping he wouldn’t think it was too ‘young’ but he loved it. Funny thing about teens…one minute they want to watch a horror movie…the next… it’s Disney – love it!

Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Inks:  Basic Black and Early Espresso for stamping.  For water colouring, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso.

See you next time.
