Just Add Ink Challenge Winner

So I just got home from work, sat down to read my emails and noticed a comment congratulating me on winning. Winning…what do you mean winning…surely I didn’t win the Just Add Ink Challenge?  I’m saying this out loud…while my son looks at me as if I’ve gone batty. So I head on over to the JAI blog and there’s my Petal Cone gift boxes announced as winner. Yay!!! Super excited!

What a great way to finish a hectic day.  Thank you so much to the Just Add Ink Design Team for choosing my project this week. You have made my day!

Happy Christmas stamping!

Need Last Minute Gift Ideas?

So much for my promise to share my last spice cake creation on Tuesday!  I was ready to go but unfortunately we lost our phone and internet connection which was only fixed yesterday.  This predicament has made me realise that I am, absolutely, no question about it, addicted to blogging and surfing!  I have been the biggest cranky pants during the past few days.

Anyway…I’m back and raring to go.  Before I share my last spice cake creation, I want to share these gorgeous little gift boxes I made today for the current, too cute to resist, Just Add Ink Challenge.  I found inspiration from every element of this photo, from the colours, the bling, the handbags, and of course, the company…Tiffany’s.  Don’t you think that a little item from Tiffany’s would fit perfectly in one of these? And better yet…they not only make gorgeous gift boxes for that someone special, they are also  beautiful, handmade decorations for the Christmas tree.

And here is the inspirational photo

Now to my last Spice Cake project.  I love these little bottles from IKEA – such good value and they make great little gifts.  This one will eventually have chocolates in it.  They would have been in the bottle for the photo but my dear husband was unable to resist the chocolates that I purchased.  So much for trying to be organised!

Two Final Spice Cake Shares to go…

What a crazy week last week!  I had such a great time sharing my creations for the Summer Mini Launch – I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed creating them.  The launch was a great success and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon with some fabulous women. I felt soooo calm and relaxed when I woke up this morning.

So…back to the subject of my post.  I have two final creations to share using Spice Cake (for the moment anyway!)

The creation below was the second make and take I shared with our Avid Inkers group.  For those of you who don’t know who the Avid Inkers are…well…this is our team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators.  We meet monthly and I’ve got to say our meetings are the absolute highlight of my month.  We meet to simply create, share ideas and organise classes that we run in Canberra.  After Christmas, I’ll be sharing a fabulous class we are planning early in 2012 so be sure to check back for the deets.

Challenges

Ok…so I tonight I was ready to make something for the latest Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and my newest challenge blog find…DYSU. My goal was to use the new Glimmer Paper but…as you can see…there is not one sparkle in sight.  It was one of those nights where I ended up going another way and I’m not sure about it.  I do need some more Christmas cards so here is another one to give to someone special.
