Monthly Archives: November 2012
Last weekend, I ran a workshop for one of my fabulous hostesses. It was such a lovely afternoon and everyone did an amazing job on the make and take! Here’s what we made:
Want to make this project at home? Instructions can be found here.
As a thank you, I always give my hostesses a handmade gift and decided that I was going to give her my version of the Christmas ornament from the front cover of the Holiday catalogue. I’ve already posted a pic of the ornament, but, of course, I couldn’t stop there. A handmade item absolutely needs to go into handmade packaging right?
I’ve used my trusty simply scored with real red card stock and window sheet. You may remember I posted about how to make boxes some time ago. Don’t remember? Well…fear not…instructions can be found here. I’ve then made up a belly band using a strip of the gorgeous Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP, attached a thin punched strip of champagne glimmer paper, used my trusty big shot with the Snow Flurry Bigz Die to make those sweet very vanilla snowflakes, added pearls (of course) and finished off with a very vanilla banner stamped with a sentiment from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set.
The best thing about the workshop is that my hostess earned the super duper fabulosa set of 10 full size FREE ink pads (valued at $79.95) as well as $100 worth of product of her choosing AND 50% of any product of her choosing. Just for hosting a party!
Would you like to earn rewards like these? Check out my website for more information and book a workshop today. I’d love to hear from you.
Having trouble finding the perfect gift? Well…I can help with that. Buy a gift voucher $50 and over from me and my gift to you is a handmade made to order gift card holder so you can give your crafty friend or loved one something really special.
Here’s a Christmas one I prepared earlier.
And a birthday version.

Happy Christmas Shopping!
Can you believe it? A whole set of the brand spanking new ink pads. And that’s on top of the usual hostess benefits!!! Click on the pic for all the deets.
Book your workshop today. I still have weekend time slots available.
Can’t fit a workshop in? How about getting your friends together and placing an order as a group. Hostess benefits still apply – the hardest part is working out to split them!

So busy crafting day today…I even forgot to do the vacuuming…wink wink.
I needed to make a wedding card today so I thought I’d head on over to Mojo Monday for some sketch inspiration and join in the fun.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been madly preparing my presentation and Heartfelt Christmas Projects for the Sydney Heartfelt Event and now I get to show you what I’ve been working on. Yay!!!
I presented to groups of demonstrators throughout a two hour timeslot and had such a great time. They were all so lovely and supportive I felt right at home. No nerves whatsoever!! My presentation revolved around how to make a Christmas tree using the heart punch (more tomorrow on this one) and a 3D star. I love love love these stars because a quick and easy project like this means I can have fun with glitter and ribbon and buttons and well…you get the picture…right??
I promised a number of demonstrators that I would source a good video and pop up a link. I hope you enjoy. It’s one of those projects you need to sit down and make during the presentation but once you get it, it’s easy peasy, you don’t need a template and you can make any size star you like. All you need is a square of paper, a pair of scissors and a bone folder.
Keep an eye out…because I’ll be sharing a few more projects over the next few days as well as the deets for a super duper, absolute bargain Stampin Up! Christmas Stamp-a-stack class planned for December 2. Save the date for this great class – you won’t believe the value!
Do you like brown paper packages tied up in string? Well…how about this simple, yet sweet Christmas packaging idea…
