Convention Photos

I thought I should share some photos of my Stampin’ Up! family.  The lovely group of ladies below make up Avid Inkers, which is the name of our group of demonstrators.  We get together every second month just to enjoy our craft, share new techniques and ideas, plan stamp camps and simply catch up and chat as like minded women do.  When I joined as a demonstrator last year, I was invited to join this group and I tentatively went along to my first meeting not knowing anyone except the demonstrator I signed up with.  I felt welcome as soon as I knocked on the door that first night and these women have been my saviour and I love them all dearly.  The thing I love about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator the most is the friendships that I have made and I am incredibly grateful.  I want to take this opportunity to thank these women who have enabled me to find my ‘real’ self again.  Thanks ladies – I’m looking forward to our Goulburn trip to visit Bec.  See you in a couple of weeks.

Avid Inkers and the CEO and co-founder of Stampin’ Up!, Shelli Gardner. Bec made that gorgeous bag out of catalogues and gave it to Shelli as a gift. Shelli was so grateful and Bec soo excited – love you Bec – you are one super talented woman!

Deb (Deb is who I signed up as a Demonstrator with)  at our convention display tables.

My Work

Deb’s work. Unfortunately my closer version of Deb’s is blurry – darn it! It’s such as shame as Deb’s work is so gorgeous. Click on the pic and you might be able to see how Deb has used the umbrella stamp from the Rue Des Fluers (current mini) as a skirt. I love love love Deb’s vintage style.  Love Deb’s style?  Check out her blog here.

Hard at work on our make and takes…at least that’s what I told my family.  If you look really close, you might see a little sneak peek of NEW product!

And last but not least…Shellie and Me

See you next time

Simply Scored Scrapbook Page

I don’t scrapbook much any more so I thought I’d create a page as part of my convention projects.  I created these projects to showcase the new Simply Scored and I was able to really make the most of this fantastic tool with this page.  I’ve used the tool to pleat the background paper, make the rosettes and make a little picket fence.

Project Supplies
Stamp Set:
Vintage Vogue
Card:
Whisper White 12 x 12, Pear Pizzazz
Paper:  Twitterpated
Ink: Basic Gray, White StazOn
Fabulous Flourishes:  White Bakers Twine, Champagne Shimmer Paint, Clear Rhinestone Brads, On Board Alphabet Soup, Baja Breeze Pleated Satin Ribbon, Designer Buttons: Twitterpatted and Neutrals
Tools: Simply Scored, Boho Blossoms Punch, Pinking Hearts Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch

I’m working on a gorgeous little project that I learnt during convention from the wonderful Stampin Up! trainer Sophie Zadeh  using this tool.  Sophie is one of the concept artists at Stampin Up and teaches us wonderful, yet simple techniques from the art world.  Her style is  gorgeous and I can’t wait to have a go and share this new technique with you – I just hope I can make it look as good as hers.  Be on the look out – you never know you might even see projects that feature products from the new catalogue.

If you would like book a Simply Scored workshop where you can learn some of these techniques or you would like to purchase the Simply Scored, email me at tania_willis@bigpond to place your order.  Check out the video here to see the Simply Scored in action.

Cheers

2012 Stampin’ Up! Convention

What do you get when over 450 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are in one room?  You get a community of fabulous, generous and talented crafters who share, inspire and teach one another everything there is to know about papercraft.  Over the last two days, I have been at the Stampin’ Up! convention here in Canberra and boy do I have some fabulous new ideas and techniques to share with you.

As many of you know, I have been working on several projects using the Simply Scored for convention and I thought I’d take this opportunity to share one of them with you.  I’ll post more over the coming days.  So here is my first…
