2011-2013 In Colours

Hello everyone

It’s been some time since I shared some creations so… now that I’m on holidays… I have some free time to catch up with you all.

On Saturday afternoon I held a workshop with a group of wonderful women from work and a few of their friends. We started out with some champagne and chatter and then moved into a demo of gift box I shared with the girls to give them some ideas for Christmas gifts.  The box was made for Julie-ann as a thank you for being our hostess for the day.  After another quick demo, we all made the small note cards that are designed to fit into the box. I love the simplicity of this design and the fact that the you don’t need a lot of items to make them.  Item info for both the box and cards can be found below the pic and I have included a link to the box template.

Card:  Early Espresso (smooth for cards and textured for box), Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler
Stamp Set:  Easy Events
Accessories:  Pearls, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and Early Espresso 1cm Tafetta Ribbon
Punches:  1 1/4 Circle, 1 3/8 Circle and 1 3/4 Scallop
Adhesives:  Dimensionals, Snail, Glue Dots and Sticky Strip

When we finished the note card, we moved onto a more challenging make and take and I’ll submit this in another post because I want to submit the design in the current Just Add Ink Challenge.  Be sure to check back later for an update.

On a final note – check out one of the lucky door prizes I made for the day:

HUGE congrats to Elaine who won this on the day!
